The main goals of the Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology and Culture - PPG PsiCC are:
1) To ensure the presence of a Graduate Program in the area of Clinical Psychology and Culture that offers both a Masters and a Doctoral degree within the Federal University System of Brazil. It was divised to feel a gap in this field of knowledge in the Central-West region of the country;
2) To disseminate and strengthen the role and influence of the University of Brasilia in the area of Clinical Psychology in its articulation with Culture and estimulate the production of knowledge in the Central-West region, by expanding its actions to the North and Northwest Regions of the country;
3) To contribute to increase the production of knowledge in the área of Human Sciences, but mainly to foment a contribution of Clinical Psychology to the interdisciplinary debate involving culture;
4) To capacitate researchers and professors in the area of Clinical Psychology and Culture to disseminate their knowledge at other Universities throughout the country;
5) To build consistent and inovative knowledge in the area of Clinical Psychology and Cultural Studies;
6) To promote/ensure a strong capacitation to graduate students interested in becoming high-level clinicians-researchers compromised with the establishment of research groups in other institutions as well as with the development of Community Extension Projects in order to integrate research and practice that values the interface between Clinical Psychology and Culture;

8) To provide a strong capacitation of Clinical Psychologists focused on building theoretical rigor, an investigative capacity, a multidisciplinar approach, and a critical and ethical posture conduzive with the necessary ethical parameters of the profession, by promoting:
a) The integration between the Undergraduate and the Graduate levels, by offering undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in the research activites of graduate students and by stimulating Graduate students to become involved in teaching undergraduate courses and in providing clinical supervision;
b) The participation of faculty members in the theoretical-clinical debate promoted by professional associations in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Cultural Studies in the Central-West region as well as in the other regions of the country.
